Welcome

To all Japanese Art lovers,

As you probably have noticed I have been absent from the net for several months now.

This did happen without my consent and was only due to the irresponsible behaviour of my previous provider. Now a new start begins.

Since most of the Japanese Art collectors and dealers know my reputation as a professional restorer of Japanese swords, scabbards (saya), armour, helmets (kabuto), and many other objects related to this form of art, such as restoration of lacquer, there is no need for a new explanation about my more than 25 years of professional experience in this field.

The goal of my website is mainly to provide pictorial information about achieved old and recent restorations, mainly lacquer work and new built koshirae with antique kodogu.

Since the representation of polished blades by means of pictures does not reply to the reality of  actual holding the blade in hands, pictures of blades will be few unless there appears to be a demand for professionally taken pictures.

Although some of the represented items are for sale,  most of them are not,  because I am in principle not a dealer. However items in commission are accepted  for sale.

Any visitor may ask questions about the items shown, but should please be understanding to have a little patience for I am currently very busy with time consuming restorations.

I should like to thank all supporting collectors who put their valuable swords, koshirae and armour under my care.
